Medical Scribe

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe will play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency of medical professionals by accurately documenting patient encounters prior to the patient encounter. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in typing and medical documentation systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Document medical histories, physical examinations, and treatment plans in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ensure all medical documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with healthcare regulations.
• Assist healthcare providers by preparing charts and ensuring all necessary information is available for patient visits.
• Collaborate with medical staff to streamline workflows and improve patient care processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Experience with medical records systems and electronic documentation.
• Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate transcription.
• Familiarity with medical office procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Previous experience as a scribe or in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.
