House Parent

We are seeking people who feel called to the ministry of helping youth by providing nurturing, family-style care in our residential program. Our beautiful campus is located in the quiet town of Turbeville, SC just a leisure drive to Myrtle Beach and Charleston!

We have three dorms (serving 8-12 placed children of the same gender/age range) with 2 houseparents per cottage working 7 days-on/ 7 days-off to allow consistency for children, and adequate work-life balance for staff. All cottages have private staff quarters, and there is 24/7 support so you are never on your own!

Job duties include (but not limited to):

· Attending scheduled meetings and training

· Maintaining a clean and organized home environment

· Supervise students both inside and outside of the home

· Lead character development and life skills lessons

· Manage the daily routine of the home

· Dispense daily medications and more

· Transport to/from appointments and school

· $70/yr (per couple) salary for experienced couples

· $35,000/yr (single) salary for experienced candidate

Qualifications:

· Be at least 21 years of age or older

· High School diploma or equivalent is required

· Valid driver’s license with good driving record

· Ability to pass a thorough background check, drug screening and reference verification procedure in order to determine one’s fitness to satisfactorily and safely care for youth
