What are the responsibilities and job description for the Winery - Tasting Room Server position at Turdo Vineyards & Winery?
Small, family-owned & run, boutique Winery & Vineyard in Cape May, NJ. Set in an intimate, yet vibrant setting, looking for seasonal/summer help in the tasting room.
!!! WEEKENDS ARE A MUST (Must Be Able to Work SATURDAY & SUNDAY thru Labor Day) Rotating Weekends with other employees !!!
-Job duties include set up and break down of wine bar, preparing/cleaning outdoor patio area/restroom before beginning of day, greeting customers, offering guests wine tastings (pouring wine), working cash register/POS system, assisting owners/winemakers with miscellaneous tasks when necessary. At times, there are "After Hour" events that require additional employee assistance.
-Must be a "people person", be able to speak/enjoy talking to others face to face.
-Any experience in Customer Service/Bartending/Server/Wine Industry is recommended.
-Must be able to multi-task, take direction, and work well with others.
-Any general knowledge of wine or winemaking process is a PLUS.
-First 1-2 weeks are a "training/trial period". Owner will teach you about grapes that are grown in vineyard, the wines that they produce, as well as aromas/flavors/food pairings of all wines, and a basic understanding of the grape growing/winemaking process.
Employee Hours are SU-TH 11:30-5:30, FR 11:30-6:30, SA 11:30-7:30pm
