Description

The Production Coordinator serves alongside the Plant Manager. Main objectives would be planning and organization of the production process and ensuring availability of necessary material, equipment, and labor resources required for the needed project. The Plant Manager oversees the overall manufacturing process to ensure optimized production. The Production Coordinator assists in the development and maintenance of project plans, including scope, schedules, and resource requirements. This position requires a versatile leader capable of assisting production, assisting in basic maintenance, as well as coordinating building and grounds maintenance. Collaborate with Managers to ensure project plans are executed efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Design and implement plans for the effective use of material and labor resources to achieve manufacturing targets.
  2. Supervise the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure a manufacturing process is within budget and time schedule.
  3. Conduct studies and research to discover a more effective approach to production.
  4. Oversee the regulation of work shift to ensure proper workload distribution
  5. Monitor a manufacturing team to ensure operations are in compliance with health and safety standards
  6. Schedule the maintenance of production equipment and machines to ensure efficient operations
  7. Oversee grounds and general building maintenance
  8. Analyze and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems
  9. Liaise with the quality assurance department to ensure product quality and specification are consistent
  10. Conduct assessments to identify mechanical and procedural limitations that minimize work efficiency
  11. Work alongside the purchasing department in procuring raw materials and equipment required for maintaining and upkeeping of production staff and equipment.
  12. Review personnel performance to determine individuals most suited for promotion.
  13. Coordinate the flow of materials from suppliers to production lines to ensure manufacturing processes proceed without delays or shortages. Monitoring rigorous inventory levels required to maintain a seamless production schedule. Printing of production labels to be included on specific shipments.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Familiar with technical software.
  2. Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
  3. Ability to work in a variety of roles.
  4. Responsible individual with good attendance and punctuality.

Manufacturing Working Environment:

  1. May include working indoors and outdoors
  2. May be exposed to excessive climates, including heat, cold or extreme weather conditions
  3. Weather may include humidity, dampness, or chilling
  4. Prominent level of noise, continuous
  5. Working around machinery with moving parts, uneven walking surfaces
  6. Working around moving objects, forklifts, or vehicles, machinery/heavy equipment
  7. Exposure to dust, silica, fumes, odors, and/or gases

Qualifications


REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Speaks and understand English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Skills in operating and examining production equipment for faults.
  • Project Management Skills: Able to handle a manufacturing process to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
  • Organizational Skills: Adept at coordinating the different stages of manufacture to ensure seamless operations.

COMPETENCIES

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in production or chemical engineering, Electrical, Business Management, or any other specific to Manufacturing Industry.

EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a production line is preferred.
