Administrative Coordinator
The Administrative Coordinator is the point person for people who contact Turning Point in need of services, such as Recovery Coaching or services from a community organization. You will collaborate with all Turning Point staff and other community partners to ensure a smooth connection between participants and resources, as well as educating participants on options for community resources if they would like.
As an employee of Turning Point, the Administrative Coordinator provides coordination of care to those in recovery and family members of those in recovery from a substance use disorder or from any addictive behavior.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct service to individuals who are recovering from a substance use disorder or addictive behavior, are in active use, or family members of individuals with a substance use disorder or addictive behavior.
- Provide education on harm reduction and safe use as appropriate.
- Contribute to a safe, welcoming atmosphere at the recovery center.
- Promote support services offered at Turning Point with local community partners.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with local treatment teams and other agencies to assist participants with treatment needs.
- Coordinate and support the development and execution of special events.
- Recruit volunteers.
- Support and perform outreach to the community, as directed by leadership of the Center.
- Model recovery principles to show that recovery is possible and attainable, as well as utilize personal and professional experience to promote wellness and recovery.
- Abide by HIPPA, 42CFR Part 2, and any additional rules, regulations, and ethical standards set forth by your recovery center.
- Coordinate with in-house employees to create a quarterly newsletter.
- Engage in personal and professional development opportunities.
- Coordinate resources for participants with community partners.
- Communicate effectively between staff, participants, and community partners.
- Attend meetings with community partners as a representative of the recovery center.
Required Experience
- You must meet the abstinence requirement of 2 years of continuous recovery or otherwise demonstrate your stability in recovery.
- Experience with or educational background around recovery concepts and practices of recovery that honor any pathway to recovery and harm reduction principles
- Organized, self-motivated, creative, and committed to working in a diverse environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent people skills and comfortable working with all levels of professionals
- Required to attend all required trainings as directed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
