What does a Kitchen Technician do?
- Disconnects gas lines and moves equipment for cleaning.
- Cleans equipment and surrounding areas.
- Reassembles and inspects equipment.
- Reports malfunctions.
- Ensures safety with PPE and jobsite security.
- Works independently and communicates with the supervisor.
- Troubleshoots and repairs cleaning equipment.
To succeed as a Kitchen Technician, you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of fire prevention kitchen maintenance experience
- PECT Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Strong understanding of NFPA 96 and ANSI standards
- Ability to operate Kaivac and pressure washer daily
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling
- Valid NYS driver's license
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
