Description
Phoenix Manufacturing is looking for Shipper at our Glasgow, Missouri manufacturing facility. This position reports to the production lead and is responsible for the loading, unloading, proper count and verification of all incoming/outgoing shipments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for the proper count and verification of all incoming and outgoing product loads.
- Prepare finished product for shipping by packing, staging, crating and loading.
- Safely operate forklift to load and unload product on a variety of different trailers.
- Monitor product being shipped for quality.
- Notify a supervisor/manager if there are issues with overages/shortages or quality products.
- Initiate and maintain good housekeeping practices in all work areas.
- Complies with all company safety policies and procedures and practices safe work habits.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous shipping/receiving experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to use overhead cranes, mobile cranes, and forklifts to retrieve product & materials required.
- Minimum 1 year forklift operating experience.
- Ability to use basic mathematics and measurements.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
- Agree to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the company.
- Successfully pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical.
