What are the responsibilities and job description for the Large Animal Caretaker position at tuskegee?
The Large Animal Caretaker is primarily responsible for cleaning stalls, barns and wards daily. and maintaining clean and sanitized outside water troughs and feed containers. Other duties include unloading hay, feed and bedding, maintaining cleanliness of outside paddocks; maintaining the pasture in standard condition; and the upkeep of university owned horse and cattle herds. The Large Animal Caretaker oversee the daily operations of the animal facilities in the Large AnimalTeaching Hospital (LATH) to ensure that the welfare of all client- owned animals and university-owned animals are maintained and monitored as per the instructions from clinicians. Reports to the Farm Manager.
