What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Twin Resources, Inc.?
Principal Responsibilities
Develop CNC programs for mills based on drawings and models
Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates
Monitor output and proper operation of mechanical equipment. Make mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements
Interact with computer-based controllers (conversational and G&M code) to enter and/or edit job programs and tool selection information
Work with operators to optimize machine capabilities
Plan, understand, and interpret drawings, specifications, material, and operating instructions before and while running operations and equipment
Produce and inspect parts against drawings specifications within time allotted; ensuring product meets specified quality standards
Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work to drawings
Verify initial product quality checks and complete all processing operations
Inspect parts against blueprints and specifications; ensuring product meets specified quality standards
Update related paperwork (work orders and in-process inspection sheets) upon completion of tasks
Ability to stand and operate machinery throughout the duration of shift, except for scheduled breaks
Ability to lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects
Demonstrate safe work habits
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner
Maintain current, overall, and job specific trainings and requirements
Assist in other departments as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications And Educational Requirements
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Detail oriented
Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated
Basic math and trigonometry skills
Blueprint with GD&T reading capabilities
Proficient understanding of G-code and M-code programming
AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Minimum Three (3) Years Of Experience
Experience working with three (3) and five (5) axis equipment machining aluminum and steel
