What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Paraprofessional position at Two Rivers Supervisory Union?
Two Rivers Supervisory Union is currently seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as Special Education Paraprofessionals for elementary students in an intensive needs program in Ludlow, VT.
We are looking for a team member who has a positive attitude, and is patient and dependable. The candidates must also possess the qualities of patience, creativity, flexibility, dependability, consistency, commitment, and a desire to learn new skills. Candidates will need to have the ability to follow a detailed educational and behavioral plans income cases. The candidate will need to demonstrate collaborative skills and a willingness to engage in new learning and problem solving as a member of the educational team.
Responsibilities include:
- Observe student’s performance, and record relevant data to assess progress
- Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts
- Enforce administration policies and rules governing students
- Instruct and monitor student in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage
- Supervise student in classrooms, halls, cafeteria, school yards, and gymnasiums
- Attend staff meetings and serve on appropriate committees
- Assist in bus loading and unloading
- Uphold professional standards of conduct.
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able & willing to work 1:1 with a student. Full time, hours will include meetings, consultations, etc.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
