A Typical Work Week for a Web Manager
The Web Manager is primarily responsible for giving daily direction and guidance to the Web Designers. This position assists the Web Director in web projects from conception to launch, designing and developing web architecture, and providing guidance on technical issues. This person should be comfortable working within a team, have a keen eye for detail, and have excellent organizational skills.
Top 5 Responsibilities:
- Implement best practices and web design trends (primarily using WordPress)
- Perform quality assurance on web work
- Solve complex issues
- Mentoring and training
- Explaining the why behind website decisions internally and with clients
Other Responsibilities:
- Improving our overall website implementation methodology: requirements gathering, project estimation & planning, implementation, testing, go-live & monthly support
- Developing user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces, and performing SEO procedures.
- Investigating user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the organization’s standards.
- Providing mentorship to the UX/UI team to deliver the project on time and within budget.
- Documenting website development processes and procedures.
- Preparing project progress updates for internal leadership and performing website demonstrations for clients.
- Troubleshooting and testing, and monitoring website launches
- Conducting content and quality audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information and ensure website responsiveness standards are met
- Speed-optimized WordPress selection based on client requirements

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in web design, web development, graphic design or visual communications
- 3 years of website design experience
- Previous experience in management or leadership role
- Demonstrated strengths in web design, project management, marketing, and communications
- Experience using WordPress
- Self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment with a strong interest in graphic design
- Comfortable working with conservative Christian churches and non-profits
- Online portfolio displaying strong graphics and development skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of current web design trends and techniques
- Ability to clearly and professionally communicate visual solutions to support marketing strategies and web initiatives
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Positive outlook and professionalism in all aspects of daily tasks
- Uses good judgment and works with integrity
- Ability to quickly change from one project to another
- Adeptness with learning new apps and software
- Punctual and dependable

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
