A Student Assistant (SA) at TJC plays an important role in promoting the mission of the college. The student assistant in this position must be willing and able to report to an off-campus location in Tyler to perform various clerical tasks that aid in maintaining an organized workflow by performing project tasks as assigned by the Technical Services department at Tyler Public Library.

Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist with the organization of donated items.Pull materials from organized lists following alphanumeric organizationAssist as needed in the preparation of physical processing of materials for public useAssist and interact with the general publicCOMPETENCIESKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesCollaboration/Teamwork, Customer Service, Interpersonal Skills, Multi-tasking, Organizational Skills, Problem-solving, Time ManagementWork Environment: Work required during normal business hoursPhysical Demands: Sitting, walking, standing, liftingTravel Required: Yescandidate must have and maintain a current valid Texas driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
