Description
The Assistant Racquet Sports Professional position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of
the tennis and pickleball program. This individual should maintain a professional and positive
attitude at all times and thus provide a first-class experience for our members and guests.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

The Assistant Racquet Sports Professional position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of
the tennis and pickleball program. This individual should maintain a professional and positive
attitude at all times and thus provide a first-class experience for our members and guests.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Teaching adult and junior lessons, clinics and groups
- Summer Junior Tennis Camps
- Proper use of point of sale software
- Answer inquiries, Answer the phone promptly and politely, take court reservations, direct calls to appropriate areas, deliver messages, etc.
- Assist members regarding scheduling and facility policies
- Assist with daily tasks
- Assist with keeping all areas of facility clean and organized
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work with a wide variety of ages from pre-school thru adult
- Flexible work schedule (i.e. nights, weekends, holidays) and willingness to work whenever necessary
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent guest service skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
- Must be respectful and friendly to our members, guests, visitors, spectators, and fellow team members
- Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facility
- Commitment to the safety and well-being of others
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. waist high
- Will be required to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to enter information on computers
- Must comply with safety and health code standards
- Must wear proper attire
- Able to run/walk as needed
PREFERRED:
- 2 Years Teaching experience – Private club experience preferred
- RSPA (previously the USPTA) or PTR Certified
- Knowledgeable about Pickleball
- Event management experience
- Customer service experience
