What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk Associate position at TYM North America Inc?
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations, and documenting damage to inventory. Shipping Associate must be able to perform efficiently in a warehouse and dispatch environment by handling incoming and outgoing transfers.
Job Functions:
- Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them, and distributing packages and letters within the company
- Load and unload large shipments
- Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
- Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
- Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
Job Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping or receiving environment preferred.
- Comfortable in a warehouse setting
- Strong with interpersonal relationships and communications
- Excellent organization and administrative skills
- Exemplary customer care and service
- Able to think analytically and problem-solve
- Able to operate heavy machinery
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
- Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
