Job Purpose / Summary :
The Senior Customer Service & Logistics Specialist has primary responsibility for managing the relationship between the customer and the Supply Chain with respect to their designated accounts or geographies. This process begins with the placement of an order and continues to receipt of final payment for that order. The Senior Customer Service & Logistics Specialist manages this relationship effectively by a) becoming intimately familiar with the region regulations, documentation requirements, associated sales and customer organizations, product needs, processes, and procedures; b) analyzing historical data and account trends; and c) partnering with the Sales team to provide the highest level of customer service to all accounts. This information is then leveraged to develop efficient, cost-effective, and reliable business solutions for all associated customers and Tyson Foods, aligned to customer and supply chain strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Serves as the primary contact between Tyson Foods' Supply Chain and the assigned external customer(s), responsible for all aspects of the relationship including receipt of customer orders as well as prompt resolution of any issues which may arise throughout the order to cash cycle; works to strengthen Tyson Foods' relationship with customers through effective communication of order status, product availability, substitute product options, and logistics processes; facilitation and support for the delivery of required documentation, inspections and letters of credit; establishes and maintains positive, effective relationships with key internal and external contacts; ensures product availability, documentation and country regulation adherence; utilizes associated order management systems to process customer orders and to monitor compliance of all assigned accounts ; maintains knowledge of all internal Tyson Foods policies, procedures and software applications; maintains knowledge of external customer's organizational structure, procedures and all other pertinent information; utilizes available resources to identify cost effective, supply chain efficiencies to best service the needs of Tyson Foods and the customer; identifies and implements creative solutions to resolve issues which negatively impact any aspect of the order-to-cash cycle, Tyson Foods relationship with its customers and / or accurate delivery of products to external customers.
Requirements :
Education / Certifications : Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Experience : 1- 3 years business experience
Computer Skills : Proficient with MS Office applications required; SAP / ORP skills preferred
Communication Skills : Strong listening and communication skills with an ability to adapt to cultural and language differences. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills; Conflict Management skills; Ability to multi-task; Positive attitude; Problem Solving skills; Negotiation skills
