Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule and confirm medical appointments using the office's scheduling system
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide administrative support to medical staff, including filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
- Collect payments from patients
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar administrative role preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using office software programs and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
