AR Specialist

UBEO Business Services, the premier provider of business technology products and services, is seeking to hire an AR Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

UBEO is a distributor/servicer of document equipment and software solutions. Primary products include Xerox, Ricoh, Canon and Konica Minolta multi-functional equipment and Kyocera printers. UBEO specializes in electronic document management software and integrations.

FLSA Status: Full Time/Hourly

Purpose

This position is responsible for interacting with customers regarding past due invoices and keeping their ageing current.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this position is as follows:

• Contact past due customers via email and phone to obtain payment status
• Work closely with sales representatives on customer aged accounts
• Communicate with personnel in other departments to resolve billing issues that may arise while trying to collect on an invoice
• Work dispatch hold board in a timely manner
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries
• Back up to other AR Specialists as they are out on vacation
• Meet required metrics for past due
• Work credits and unapplied payments on assigned accounts
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Related Dimensions

• 1-2 years collections experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to provide customer service for internal and external customers and must be able to work within a team atmosphere
• General knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook)
• Must have general computer skills, 10-key typing skills, E-Automate experience preferred

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED

• Ability to sit at desk for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to talk on the phone and work with various computer tools and applications.
• Ability to type and compose written communication in various forms.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs on occasion.
