About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an intellectually curious benefits financial professional to gain experience managing the Global Benefits fringe budget, while also providing program oversight for some of Uber's global benefit programs.
This person will join the Global Benefits Operations team, being responsible for financial pricing, budget management for 60 countries, stakeholder management, and program management. They will also partner closely with the Strategic Finance Teams, Accounting, Tax and Payroll Teams, in addition to Uber's third-party vendors and actuarial consultants. What You'll Do
- Project lead for managing the Global Benefits fringe budget including developing the global budget, populating dashboards and reports for Finance, helping develop forecasts, calculating PEPY by country, reconciling spend to forecasted budget, and partnering with the US Benefits actuaries to review underwriting and projections.
- Communicate and partner with a diverse set of international stakeholders and business partners in Finance, Tax, Compensation, Accounting, Benefits, Legal and Global Payroll. Help coordinate key decision-makers to take action and ensure compliance.
- Monitor spend through the accounting system such as set up of purchase orders, payment of vendor invoices and reconciling spend to budget.
- Identify and implement methods to automate and optimize existing processes and operations, driving improvements in budgeting processes to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Lead global benefits projects from discovery and design through to completion - develop the project plan, work with engineers, conduct meetings with business partners and drive to completion (e.g., M&A, oversee financial global programs).
- Help present complex financial and actuarial analysis results in a clear and easily understandable manner for the leadership team.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles : The base salary range for this role is USD$142,000 per year - USD$158,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
