About the Position:
At UFM, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Head Flour Miller to join our team. This individual will assist our Head Miller with overseeing the 7500 cwt. Mill department and lead maintenance in the facility. Direct accountability for maintenance includes the Mill, Elevator, Pack, Warehouse, and Laboratory equipment. We require someone who can develop preventative maintenance plans with department heads, manage maintenance technicians on call and maintenance schedules, coordinate with department heads on parts needed, schedule employees, raw materials, and ingredients to ensure productivity, maintain product standards, equipment accuracy, and calibrations, handle purchasing and installation of new or used equipment, and work with the QA/QC Lab and QS Management in maintaining a superior product and ensuring all products conform to specifications.
Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and experience in grain conditioning/mill operations or feed milling. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Familiarity with computerized maintenance/work order systems is also essential.
