A great UHY client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have solid corporate accounting experience.
The Senior Accountant role is a hybrid position with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
Senior Accountant Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly journal entries, accounting analyses, reconciliations and supporting work papers. Prepare audit schedules and work with external auditors to ensure an efficient audit process.
- Calculate currency revaluations on outstanding foreign balances for corporate entities.
- Review reports to ensure intercompany balance sheet and P&L differences are investigated and corrected for month-end.
- Communicate effectively with finance and non-finance colleagues in domestic and international locations to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting. Assist in streamlining of existing processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor compliance with established guidelines for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Act as a resource and point of contact to colleagues in the plants and product lines. Provide guidance and assistance with business requests.
- Assist with other accounting projects, as needed.
Senior Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
- Self-motivated. Initiates activities with high degree of drive and commitment to continuous improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
- Attentive to detail and strong quality orientation
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
