Position Summary
The Extra Help – Program Coordinator will work closely with UI Health's Program Director, Career Pathways to ensure smooth operation and administration of the CHAMPIONS Program, as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support the planning and facilitation of summer and school-year hybrid youth-serving programs; including programmatic design and curriculum development and delivery.
Provides program knowledge and expertise of procedures, technical specifications related to pipeline programs.
Provides leadership for the development, administration of programs, and special projects; responsible for various financial operations of unit; advises on budget preparation as required.
Provides management reports, analyses, data, and information for administrative purposes; assists with grants or related funding sources.
Implement evaluation needs to measure reach and impact, as well as identify quality improvement opportunities.
Maintain program logistics, including participant recruitment, retention, engagement.
Work directly with University Human Resources, the ODCHE Administrative Aide, and UIC Office of Business and Financial Services (OBFS) to efficiently process and manage participant stipends.
Participate in efforts to establish, manage, and sustain multidisciplinary and multilateral partnerships, including the Urban Health Program (UHP); including attending UHP CAC Recruitment and Retention and UHP Health Science Colleges Team meetings.
Responsible for the management of resources, determination, and supervision of staff functions; coordinates the recruitment, training and supervision of health professional/undergraduate student workers and volunteers.
Other duties as assigned.
