Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a Human Resources Compensation Specialist for a reputable organization located in Maryland. This pivotal role focuses on managing payroll and compensation processes, ensuring compliance with tax and labor regulations, and maintaining meticulous records. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with HR and accounting teams to facilitate seamless payroll operations.
- Administer bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
- Prepare and submit payroll data, including direct deposits, garnishments, benefit deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Oversee payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and system enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to payroll and compensation laws and internal policies.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports and journal entries.
- Monitor pay structures and overtime calculations for accuracy.
- Maintain and track employee leave balances.
- Process manual checks when needed.
- Manage year-end tax filings and support internal and external audits.
- Conduct employment verifications and maintain payroll records.
- Assist with special projects and other HR-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in payroll, compensation, or HR-related roles.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, wage laws, and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Professional certifications such as CPP or CPM are a plus.
