Production Scheduler
Ultra-Mek, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our production scheduling team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing production schedules in our fully-integrated erp system.
Ultra-Mek, Inc. is a family owned manufacturer of motion furniture hardware in Denton, NC. We provide complete design and engineering processes, assembly, and packaging of high quality innovative motion furniture hardware for the retail and healthcare furniture industries. Not only are our products proudly made in the USA but they are also locally made.
Job Summary:
The Production Scheduler develops a schedule of production in the MRP system in coordination with Customer Service Team and the Operations Manager. This individual will also be responsible for reviewing capacity, call out constraints and provide recommendations on how to address the constraints to the Operations Manager.
Job Description:
- Develop and maintain master production scheduling process within the ERP system.
- Maintain daily, weekly and forward planning master scheduling data.
- Review and align all scheduling activities based upon the demand planning forecast.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure the proper material is available to support target schedule.
- Drive scheduling communication to all support functions to ensure alignment across all areas of the operation.
- Develop and maintain scheduling reports and how those relate to future inventory levels.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience utilizing ERP & MRP systems (Experience with Epicor/Kinetic is preferred).
- Keen understanding of manufacturing process flow and the correlation with ERP systems.
- Ability to multi-task effectively and achieve the desired results.
- Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization; possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a results driven approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Proficiency in English is required (Bi-lingual English & Spanish a plus).
