Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Sonographer to join our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and stress echo exams.
- Operate ultrasound imaging equipment and capture high-quality images of the heart and cardiovascular system.
- Analyze and interpret findings to prepare preliminary reports for cardiologists.
- Maintain patient comfort, safety, and privacy throughout the imaging process.
- Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients.
- Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and calibration of ultrasound equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure diagnostic accuracy and adjust imaging techniques as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Certification by ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS or RCS).
- 1–3 years of experience performing cardiac ultrasound procedures preferred (new grads with internship experience may be considered).
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics.
- Familiarity with digital imaging systems (e.g., PACS) and echocardiography machines.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.
