The Role:
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires. The ideal candidate will work closely with department heads and hiring managers to ensure all staffing needs are met while maintaining excellent candidate experience. This position plays a key role in developing and implementing recruitment strategies that attract top talent to support Umpqua Health’s growth.
Your Impact:
- Handle and conduct the end-to-end recruitment process for all open positions, including posting jobs, sourcing candidates, conducting initial screenings, scheduling interviews, and extending offers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions that reflect the role requirements.
- Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for future hiring needs, proactively sourcing potential candidates through networking, job boards, and social media platforms.
- Conduct reference checks, background screenings, and verify employment eligibility for all new hires.
- Coordinate and lead the onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a smooth transition into the organization.
- Track and report recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, candidate quality, and sourcing effectiveness, to continuously improve recruitment processes.
- Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with accurate candidate information and status updates.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations during the recruitment process.
- Organize and attend career fairs, networking events, and other recruitment activities to promote Umpqua Health as an employer of choice.
- Partner with the HR team to support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organizational Values.
Your Credentials:
Must be willing and able to work different time zone hours based on position and candidate location.
High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
3 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in healthcare or a similar industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices in recruitment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other recruitment platforms.
This position operates in a professional office environment. May require prolonged periods of sitting, use of a computer, and occasional travel for recruitment events.
