Building Maintenance and Repairs Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities through regular maintenance, repairs, and improvements. This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, along with excellent leadership and customer service skills.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance and Repair Technician to join our team. (n this role you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our three buildings. (49 until apartment complex and 2 office buildings).

Key Responsibilities:

· Preventative Maintenance:

· Regulary inspect and perform preventative maintenance of our facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliances

· Identify and address potential maintenance issues before the become major problems

· Corrective Maintenance:

· Respond promptly to service requests, including:

-plumbing repairs (leaky faucets, clogged drains, toilet issues)

-appliance repairs (refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers)

-electrical repairs (light fixtures, outlets, switches)

-HVAC repairs (heating and colling systems)

-minor carpentry repairs (drywall, trim, doors)

-painting and touch-up work

-minor groundskeeping duties

-gather bids for subcontracted work when necessary

· Safety and Compliance:

-Ensure the safety and compliance of all maintenance activities with applicable codes and regulations.

-Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a related field.

· Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices and procedures.

· Experience with basic plumbing , electrical and HVAC repairs.

· Ability to to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

· Valid driver’s license and erelation transportation.

· Basic computer skills

· HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing related certifications preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
