Job Description
· Monitor and maintain student flight records to ensure school compliance with FAA requirements
· Conduct FAA enrollment in FAR 141 approved flight courses
· Conduct TSA mandated verification of flight students
· Analyze flight records between courses to ensure they are correct before the student proceeds to the next course, communicating any problems to the appropriate person
· Verify and correct the flight records when errors are identified
· Answer questions from instructors and students regarding UNDAF, FAA, and TSA policies and procedures
· Prepare student records for final certification and issuance of temporary flight certificates
· Maintenance and storage of active and inactive flight records
· Supervise student employees
· This position requires ability to pass TSA and Criminal History background check
· Perform general clerical duties, including answering telephones, data entry, typing, filing, and record keeping
· Dispatch aircraft, monitor compliance with aircraft maintenance requirements, process information in computer, monitor the status of all students and aircraft
· Comply with policies and procedures of the UND Aerospace Foundation, including Safety Management System & FAA rules
· Assist with driving customers and staff for the purpose of fulfilling the obligations of UNDAF
Qualifications
- Training or experience in record keeping practices/information management
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Ability to accurately process data via PC
- Ability to work diverse schedule
- Driver’s license and excellent driving history
- Good interpersonal skills, strong customer service abilities and positive attitude
- Experience with computer systems including MS Office
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Willingness to travel as required. Willingness to work the hours required to achieve desired results; schedule flexibility required
Preferred Qualifications
- Strongly prefer experience with FAA Part 141 flight training courses
- Knowledge and experience with general aviation
- Experience in working in a collegiate environment
- Knowledge or experience with PC’s, Excel, Word
