Description:
Old Faithful Village, Yellowstone National Park, WY
Overview: Rehabilitate/replace the Old Faithful Water Treatment Plant and raw water intake. The water treatment plant will require significant phasing to maintain water service to the Old Faithful District during the entire duration of the construction project.
Project Scope:
- Construction of a new water treatment plant process building,
- Civil site work includes the construction of a soil nail wall to reinforce the wall of the pre-sedimentation pond slope,
- Modifications to the backwash ponds and pumphouse,
- Demolition of the existing water treatment plant building and other obsolete facilities,
- Rehabilitation of the raw water intake on the Firehole River
- An RV spot at Grant to support the Old Faithful Water Treatment Plant project will be provided.
Qualification:
- Technological knowledge and abilities such as utilizing the PC and accessing the internet to perform technological responsibilities utilizing the CM software management program, use of MS Teams to create and record meetings, make calls and share screens, ability to use Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, MS Project and any other software programs typically utilized for construction management services.
- Ability to walk or climb on a daily basis to observe contract performance.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand the Construction Contract, Plans and Specifications.
- Have knowledge of similar construction work so that the CMR can observe, document and confirm conformance to the contract, plans and specifications.
- OSHA 30-hour.
- The ability to understand cost estimates broken down at a minimum to prime and subcontractor labor, equipment, materials, overhead and profit and the ability to evaluate proposals broken down to that level.
- Ability to define and document scope changes either required by the owner or a result of a differing site condition.
- Ability to understand and document negotiations between the Government and the Construction Contractor for the technical scope requirements, prime and subcontractor labor, equipment, material, overhead and profit.
- Ability to read and interpret the construction schedule to evaluate and document progress. Ability to evaluate payment requests as they relate to percentages/dollars/activities services received by the Government that can be paid for.
Experience:
- Must provide a relevant list of construction projects you have managed over the past 10 years similar in scope, complexity, and magnitude as the present requirement.
- Describe the scope of the construction projects, the cost of the construction projects and provide a brief narrative on how these individuals added value to the projects.
- Provide a reference for each project, including name, position, phone number and email address.
Education: High School or Equivalent
