Job Summary
Build machines, equipment and their subassemblies and following the Mechanical layout and the general assembly layouts and other written and verbal specification without assistance. Recognize problems with designs and parts and take appropriate corrective actions. Recommend improvements for area products and processes. Perform prototype work with limited engineering and supervision. Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress / emergency situation, priority changes, and new assignments. Demonstrate leadership in training new employees, actively participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts. Have developmental capabilities in the area of special tooling. Assist in machine setups in the field. Produce high quality of work.
Responsibilities
- Job report labor correctly and in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress / emergency situation, priority changes, or new job assignments
- Practice good communication. Interact professionally with customers in the plant
- Learn to produce quality work in the time frame that consistently meets or exceeds the expectation of Team Lead and Group Lead.
- Complete safety training on the use of overhead cranes and any other equipment needed to complete the job.
- Complete safety training on the use of all fall protection and follow all requirements when applicable.
- Complete lockout / Tag out training using all required items when performing lockout.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments such as micrometers.
- Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and practices.
- Ability to fabricate and assemble components accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality assurance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
