Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Manager to oversee the daily financial transactions that are vital to our operations. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing payments, directly supporting the financial health and efficiency of our organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive, task-driven, and possess a keen eye for detail, embodying the persistence of a "bloodhound" in tracking and managing financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable:
- Manage the entire accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment collection, and reconciliation.
- Diligently pursue outstanding payments, ensuring timely collection and resolution of any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all receivables and provide regular reports on the status of accounts.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable:
- Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of all vendor invoices.
- Verify and reconcile invoices against purchase orders and contracts.
- Maintain organized records of all payables and manage the schedule of payments to optimize cash flow.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular reports on AR/AP status, highlighting key metrics and areas requiring attention.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and company policies.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve AR/AP processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations, including sales tax and jurisdictional tax compliance.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and support organizational goals.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and team members to resolve any issues related to accounts receivable and payable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
- Familiarity with Toast Point of Sale and Payroll management system is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing tasks.
- Experience in the entertainment or events industry is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet operational demands.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
- Two weeks of paid time off (resets annually on January 1).
