Construction Project Manager/Estimator
Unique Metal Fabrication (UMF) has an opening for Full-Time Construction Project Manager/Estimator. This is a day shift position working Monday – Friday. Competitive wages and excellent benefits. Project Manager Role –
Oversees the production process
Ensures that the production is cost effective
Estimates costs and sets the quality standards
Monitors the production processes and adjusts the schedule(s) as needed
Monitors product standards and implements quality-control programs
Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures
Supervises work through the planning and scheduling of work, and the review and approval of tasks
Management/control of subcontractors and correspondent subcontractors and
Performs other duties required
Estimator role –
Identify and procure projects to bid, such projects include, but are not limited to, construction projects
Strong plan comprehension and analytical skills
Prepare complete offs from online estimating software
Ensure inclusion of the projects scope of work
Secure pricing and submit accurate bid information
Skills –
The fortitude of juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Multi-tasking with a sense of urgency while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial
Effective communication skills to motivate the team
Engage a business development mindset to grow the business
Industry knowledge, preferably local
Ability to read and understand construction documents to perform accurate quantity takeoffs
Education –
Minimum of 2 years of related construction experience
Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, civil engineering or related field
Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Outlook
