Business Intelligence Developer

Responsibilities:

Develop optimized reporting timelines and requirements. Develop and implement best practices to gather data and information for reports to be presented to internal and/or external stakeholders. Implement best approach to design and produce reports using information gathered. Work with key stakeholders to ensure that reports meet the business or regulatory need. Review reports for accuracy and timeliness, provide insightful analysis, and explain reporting results.

Minimum Experience:

• 4 years of experience in designing and developing dashboards in data visualization tools – primarily Tableau.

• 2 years of experience in cloud data warehouse solutions – Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, Google Cloud BigQuery

• Hands-on experience in custom ETL languages – Python, R, Java

• 4 years of experience in Microsoft 365 products – Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

Desired Experiences:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Tableau Data Analyst Certification desired

Understanding of Third Party Risk Management data and oversight concepts

Skills:

• Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion

• Programming skills including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages

• Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal

• Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau.

• Relationship Management skills including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.

• Expertise in using statistical methods, including developing and testing hypotheses, using experimental design, and running linear and logistic regressions

• Product Development skills including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc.

• Experience identifying measures, or indicators of system performance, and the actions needed to improve or correct performance to achieve desired outcomes

• Ability to transform business processes using BPA, RPA, or other technology-enabled automation

• Business Insight skills including advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.

• Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action

• Skilled in creating and managing databases with the use of relevant software such as MySQL, Hadoop, or MongoDB

• Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Crystal Reports, Excel, or SSRS

• Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions

• Data Acquisition skills including creating data collection requirements, web scraping, streaming, etc.

• Experience defining and managing changes to documents, code, computer programs, websites, and other files to enable collaboration and ensure teams are working from the latest version

• Risk Assessment and Management skills including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.

• Skilled in creating visual concepts, creating content, and editing content by hand or with the help with computer software to communicate ideas

• Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives

• Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data

• Communication skills including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.

• Influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict

• Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand

Tools:

Skilled in Tableau, SQL, SharePoint, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Visio, R Language Programming, Python object-oriented programming
