Job Title: Nursery Caregiver

Reports to: Director of SEED (Spiritual and Ethical Exploration and Development)

Classification: Part-time, up to 2 hours a week

Schedule: On-site hours 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Sundays for Nursery Care

Location: On-site at UUCGT (6726 Center Rd., Traverse City)

JOB SUMMARY:

In support of the mission and covenant of Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Grand Traverse, the Nursery Caregiver will facilitate the nursery program for babies and toddlers, in coordination with the Director of SEED.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Works with young children and families on Sundays.
• Maintains communication with the SEED Director, other teachers, and volunteers.
• Stays present at all times during nursery hours, unless another staff person fills in.
• Demonstrates safe and appropriate care of all children in nursery.
• Assists children with changing diapers and other needs.
• Cleans up nursery space after programming.
• May be asked to work additional hours for events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Over 18 years old.
• Experience working with young children and families.
• Reliable transportation to and from congregation.
• Consent/ability to pass background check.
• Compliance with congregation’s Child Safety Policy.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 per week

Schedule:

• Every weekend
• Weekends only
