What We’re Looking For:
United Agronomy is looking for an Operations Manager based in our Ross, ND location to oversee the operation and maintenance of a 20,000-ton dry fertilizer plant and custom spraying and spreading operations. The ideal candidate will have a progressive, goal-setting mentality with a focus on growth and constant improvement. This person will be passionate about agriculture and motivated to maintain and improve on our current operation system. The Operations Manager will collaborate with our team of managers, agronomists, and seasonal workers to accomplish United Agronomy’s goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
Salary:
70k or more DOE
Duties include:
Loading and unloading fertilizer trucks
Unloading fertilizer unit trains
Maintain accurate inventory
Conduct proper maintenance of fertilizer plant
Lead small group of seasonal workers to assist with rail off load
Maintain clear, consistent communication with rail yard management
Plan and oversee maintenance on trucks and field equipment
Overseeing spraying and fertilizer spreading operations
Required Skills/Education:
Proficiency in MS Office
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
Must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions
Experience operating heavy equipment
General knowledge of accounting systems
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Skills/Education:
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Certified Pesticide Applicator License
Associates Degree or higher in Agronomy, Agribusiness, or related field
Salary:
Base Pay: $70,000/Depending on education and experience
Profit Sharing Bonus: Dependent on performance and company profitability after year 2
