Description
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for coordinating the daily/monthly schedules of anesthesia providers to ensure adequate anesthesia department coverage at the United Digestive affiliated endoscopy centers.
REPORTS TO: Anesthesia Scheduling Manager
RESPONSIBILIITES
Duties include but are not limited to:

- Ensure anesthesia providers are appropriately staffed to provide anesthesia coverage
- Manage & maintain monthly anesthesia schedules
- Establish relationship & work collaboratively with providers to obtain availability and scheduling preferences
- Monitor case volume & room utilization; staff according to the approved anesthesia staffing model
- Manage call outs and secure emergency coverage as needed
- Communicate staffing changes/updates to endo nurse managers as needed
- Seeks creative solutions to scheduling problems, both independently and collaboratively
- Maintain and update the anesthesia scheduling software
- Manage payroll timecard approval process
- Monitor and track bonus pay related to anesthesia staffing
- Collaborate with payroll department to ensure payroll is processed accurately
- Provide daily scheduling updates to the anesthesia leadership team
- Coordinate HR onboarding and onsite training for new providers
- Any other duties and/or special projects as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required. Preferred 2-3 years of healthcare experience and/or scheduling & staffing. Staff member must be computer literate and able to operate healthcare system and multiple Microsoft Office applications.
