Job Description:
United Door and Dock is looking for a motivated and experienced individual who does well at adapting to high-stress and unexpected changes to join our team as an Assistant Service Manager. You will play a key role in our operation, assisting in coordinating and supporting the activities of our Service and Service Operations Managers to ensure organization on job sites, clear communication with technicians and the highest quality service to our customers.
Key Qualifications:
- Punctual and dependable
- Able to participate in overtime dispatch responsibilities
- At least three years of experience with project management, field service supervision, or similar roles
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to remain calm under pressure ● Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in using computer technology and software, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Understanding of concepts such as purchase orders, material, job reconcile, work orders, etc.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds when handling office files, packages, parts, etc.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9AM-5PM. We are a 24/7/365 company, so in this role, you will be expected to take over some of the after-hours dispatch calls.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support the activities of the Service and Service Operations Managers to ensure highest quality service activities to customers
- Oversee job site services, including estimating, competitive pricing, maximizing profit margin, quoting, and order processing
- Schedule installation jobs for field service technicians and identify specific part numbers needed for orders
- Handle customer problems that have been escalated from the field service technician or service coordinator level
- Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction and communicate goals to the Service Center service team
- Supervise Field Service Technicians and collaborate with the Service Operations Manager in maintaining discipline, resolving problems, determining performance, and recommending promotions, transfers, or dismissals
- Assist with GPS and timesheet reconcile
