Position Summary
We are seeking a driven leader for our warehouse in New Castle, DE. This individual will partner with the Warehouse Manager to build a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while leading employee development and driving operational efficiency. Position Responsibilities
- Work with the Warehouse Manager to drive a culture of Operational and Safety Excellence.
- Work closely with Warehouse Manager to learn and master all aspects of warehouse operations.
- Assist in Managing and directing the daily workflow.
- Train team on new processes.
- Perform all core warehouse functions in accordance with SPI’s: receiving, put away, cycle counting, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting.
- Evaluate and make recommendations regarding employment, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations. Assist Warehouse Manager with evaluating warehouse employees and drivers. Recognize potential and assist with developing talent.
- Guide and advise personnel in the more complex phases of their work, as well as suggested training.
- Work with the Warehouse Manager to promote a culture of Quality/LEAN practices and compliance to improve productivity, profitability, and customer service.
- Assist customers and drivers with loading products in vehicles.
- Assist will call customers.
- Maintain a safe environment for all customers and employees. Responsible for general maintenance, inside and outside the facility.
- Perform monthly safety inspections in the branch.
- Work closely with internal departments, combining individual efforts to better serve the customer.
- Perform other duties as obvious or assigned.
This is a Safety Sensitive Position
- May be required to operate powered industrial trucks.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day, bend, twist, and climb.
- Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.

- Complete an accident/Incident report for any safety and/or health infractions that occur or witnessed.

Qualifications
- A demonstrated history of individual and team development success in warehouse operations, inventory management & control.
- 5 years’ experience in Warehousing/Operations management preferred.
- Minimum High School Diploma, Associate degree or equivalent education preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA and DOT regulations and reporting requirements.
- Experience utilizing RF Scanners to manage many SKUs.
