The EHS Coordinator will be a part of the EHS Department and aid in the effort to establish, implement, and maintain a work environment that protects the employees of United Enertech, the environment in which the facility operates the products our company produces. As our Environmental , Health & Safety coordinator you will be expected to and not limited to the following daily duties .

- Champion and promote a strong safety and compliance culture implementing programs to ensure safety and company regulatory compliance.
- Ensures the plant is safe and in compliance with all OSHA , EPA, NFPA, federal, state, and all regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
- On-time environmental reporting requirements( EPCRA, air wastewater, etc.)
- Assist with deployment of all environmental, safety programs, policies and procedures at the plant level.
- Lead and manage all near misses, hazard/accident investigations and reports. Prepare supporting documentation as needed.
- Train-the-Trainer qualified in job specific areas as necessary to (forklift trainer, Lock/Tag/Try, etc.)
- Industrial Hygiene-Ergonomics, Hearing Conversation, Respiratory Protection, etc.
- Ensures safety standards and regulations are being met and followed.
- Conduct and complete safety and environmental audits.
- Assist in development of standardized job safety analysis (JSA).
- Maintain chemical inventory, SDS and waste inspections per EPA guidelines.
- Produce safety onboard training to new employees.
- Support HR with information required to properly manage incident and injury reporting communications to occupational medical providers and Workers Compensation carrier.
- Coordinate the safety committee.
- Prepares monthly safety meetings.
- Review Maintain X for safety and health related work orders.
- Other assigned duties.
- Up to 25% travel required.
- Must be Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Must have experience with various Environmental regulations, requirements and reporting (SPCC, CERCLA, RCRA, Air, Wastewater, EPCRA, and SARA).
- OSHA 30HR General Industry/ Construction preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of safety experience within a manufacturing environment
- MS Office and computer skills.
- Certified Forklift Train the Trainer preferred.
- Industrial Hygiene experience preferred.
- Associate degree or equivalent in Safety Management, or related field preferred
- Proven ability to achieve regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to influence people that have no direct report to them.
- Candidate must be able to embrace and lead change in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including the ability to effectively present and discuss technical information and respond to questions from leaders.
