JOB SUMMARY

The primary objective of the Warehouse Manager is to meet and exceed targets by managing and driving operational performance and developing a reliable, sustainable team. This position is a premier role within the organization and is responsible for managing warehouse operations as we continue to grow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Establish specific proactive initiatives to maintain seamless flow of material in and out which is a backbone of success for our company
  • Ensure operations sustain performance in line with the business objectives and annual budgeting
  • Establish warehousing strategies and policies governing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and/or supplies
  • Drive high performance for key performance metrics: Inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity, quality standards, and optimal space utilization
  • Provide continual evaluation of all processes & procedures needed to meet or exceed business objectives, champion continuous improvement activity within the branch
  • Analyze existing processes and workflows, identify problems or bottlenecks, account for variances
  • Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the workforce through current technology, training, process improvement, and application of best practices
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure inventory is kept at minimum levels and jobs are not postponed or cancelled due to avoidable stock outages
  • Work alongside Department Leaders to ensure smooth workflow between organizational functions, good communication and good handoff from function to function
  • Lead and coach staff by providing support, facilitating performance management, cultivating a positive culture & environment, and driving business initiatives
  • collaborate with Human Resources, assess the leadership and organizational capabilities necessary to achieve annual and longer-term objectives including talent development and bench strength, performance management, and employee engagement
  • Create and plan headcount needs based on labor, cost & budget
  • Evaluate effectiveness of safety programs and recommend methods to increase quality standards
  • Develop a strong safety culture by establishing proactive safety measures

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 5 years Management experience successfully managing warehouse operations
  • Subject matter expert in quality and operational controls, process improvement, organization and operations flow design, and systems.
  • Excellent leadership skills to balance objectives of a great team member experience, & customer experience. Subscribes to a management style that embraces a hands-on approach to success.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvements
  • Competence to process complex processes and manage several initiatives effectively.
  • High level of problem-solving skills
