Job Summary:
The Outbound Purchasing Representative will be responsible for making outgoing calls to suppliers, negotiating terms, confirming product availability, and ensuring timely purchase orders for required items. This role requires a self-motivated individual passionate about building vendor relationships and securing high-quality goods at competitive prices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make outgoing calls to suppliers to source and purchase products based on company needs.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with current and potential suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and other relevant contract details.
- Ensure that all purchase orders are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Track inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to replenish stock as needed.
- Confirm product availability and lead times with suppliers to avoid delays.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchases, including prices, quantities, and supplier details.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure alignment with company needs and budget requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve any issues related to orders, payments, or shipments.
- Stay informed on market trends and supplier offerings to help optimize purchasing decisions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in purchasing, sales, or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and handle objections.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in using Google Word & Sheets.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Positive attitude and a solutions-oriented mindset.
