ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Facilities Maintenance team to achieve optimal performance and career growth.
- Establish and monitor departmental goals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring efficiency in scheduling and execution of maintenance, repair, and project work.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of assets and reduce downtime.
- Manage vendor relationships, including the Request for Proposal (RFP) and bid process, contract negotiation, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure prompt response to and resolution of maintenance issues, minimizing operational disruptions.
- Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental compliance, safety standards, and testing protocols.
- Oversee underground storage tank (UST) and fuel equipment compliance, ensuring timely testing, reporting, and corrective actions as required.
- Manage environmental reporting systems, including California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) compliance and documentation.
- Assist in developing and managing the department's annual operating budget, monitoring expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, tracking project budgets, and providing regular financial reports to senior leadership to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Support strategic growth initiatives, including due diligence for new acquisitions and ensuring smooth transitions for facilities-related responsibilities.
- Plan and manage construction and capital improvement projects, including scope, budgeting, and timeline execution.
- Leverage data and analytics to identify trends and recommend strategies for improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
