Games Support – Shipping & Freight
- Interface with Olympic & Paralympic Sport, Games Operations, and other internal departments on their constituents' needs to coordinate and plan shipping and freight operations for the Games. Work closely with shipping liaisons to coordinate relevant information to NGBs.
- Lead Games pack-out days at the Sport House for all USOPC and NGB stakeholders in conjunction with Service Operations team. Assist with building pallets, ensuring accuracy in packing list for customs clearance, and organizing and tracking storage of Games-bound pallets. Lead cross-load operations at the Sport House for all Games and other multi-sport events as necessary.
- Support and facilitate the domestic and international freight effort for Games and other multi-sport events. Assist in the development, management, and execution of shipping plans, timelines, department pack-out days, documentation, labeling specifications, inventory management, load-in/load-out, and shipment tracking to ensure complete and timely delivery.
- Before and during the Games, work at on-site locations to support freight and warehouse needs and operations. Serve as an on-site point of contact for USOPC divisions, NGBs, and athletes as needed.
- Provide support to Associate Director with Games tracking and reports for Games billbacks for internal departments and NGBs. Partner with Finance team as needed.
- Oversee the processing of all freight invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines for prompt payment submission.
- Serve as primary warehouse administrator for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Sport House. Organize, clean, and maintain the Central Shipping & Receiving warehouse and satellite storages (North Bay, West Bay, and trailers) according to established warehousing systems. Arrange assets in storage for optimized product shipping.
- Coordinate and provide support to Sport House NGBs with all incoming and outgoing freight requests.
- Serve as the USOPC’s system administrator for Smartsheets. Train users on system capabilities. Remain abreast of systems improvements and communicate updates to users as needed. Streamline processes to maximize potential of Smartsheets platform.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory and tracking systems, including entering and updating assets into Piteny Bowes Sendsuite Asset Tracking and inventory into Smartsheets. Perform routine cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory.
- Contribute ideas to improve or optimize warehousing operations and procedures, including minimizing obsolete inventory by enforcing and contributing to asset disposal policy.
- Provide backup support for USOPC mailroom operations, including receiving, sorting, and forwarding mail and packages. Assist USOPC and NGB staff and athletes with mailing, packaging, and shipping needs. Provide excellent communication and customer service to all stakeholders.
- Partner with the Events team to manage and coordinate freight and courier services for event logistics, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries in alignment with the schedule provided by the Events team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Forklift certification or the ability to attain a forklift certification within three months, to be provided by the USOPC
- Valid Colorado driver’s license
- 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, and/or event operations
- Experience using a forklift and pallet jack is preferred
- Previous warehouse and/or logistics experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook programs
- Proficiency with Smartsheets a plus
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong customer service skills/focus
- Passion for sport and the ideals of the Olympic & Paralympic Movement
- Solution-oriented
- Ability to work in a stressful environment while maintaining and positive attitude and calm demeanor
- Detail-oriented
- Physical, fast-paced position involving continual lifting, lowering, and sliding of packages, with some that may weigh up to 200 lbs.
- Ability to endure physically demanding and strenuous activity during Games (lifting up to 60 pounds, walking up to 15 miles/day, minimal sleep, etc.)

Here's Some More Information You Need To Know
- Hiring Pay Range: $22.65- $25.30 per hour
- This full-time, non -exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.
- Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 5% target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
