What are the responsibilities and job description for the LEGISLATIVE CORRESPONDENT FOR NATIONAL SECURITY position at United States Senate?
The Office of Senator Ruben Gallego seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legislative Correspondent to support the office's national security portfolio, including defense, foreign affairs, and veterans' issues.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: drafting high-quality, timely responses to constituent inquiries, concerns, and requests related to the national security portfolio; assisting the legislative assistant in preparing for committee proceedings and related legislative efforts; conducting research and analysis on national security issues to support decision-making, briefing memos, vote recommendations, and other work products; and representing the office in meetings with constituents, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders.
This is a full-time, in-person position based in Washington, D.C. Salary is commensurate with experience. Senator Gallego’s office is an equal opportunity employer.
