We are currently looking for a Full-Time Patient Access Coordinator to join our Patient Access / Business Office team.
As the Patient Access Coordinator, you will interface with patients and families, physicians and staff. This will entail a variety of tasks including :
- Admit patients and process their paperwork.
- Enter patient demographics / information in system.
- Collect monies due and document in billing system. Handle funds per office procedure.
- Explain insurance benefits to patients.
- Authorized to access medication storage areas for the purpose of performing patient registration, clerical functions, and other related duties as assigned.
- Floats to different patient access areas as needed or as assigned.
Required Skills
High school graduate or equivalent.CPR certified within 90 days from DOH.One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.Medical terminology and computer experience beneficialGood communication skills and interpersonal relation skills.Must use independent judgment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.Requires good time management skills.Full-Time Benefit Package includes :
