What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Engagement and Development Coordinator position at United Way of Anderson County?
The United Way of Anderson County is searching for a dynamic Community Engagement and Development Coordinator to support impactful initiatives across our service region. In this role, you’ll oversee aspects of fundraising, event coordination, branding, and partner agency support. You’ll work closely with local organizations, volunteers, and donors to build relationships and resources that strengthen our community. This role will be a good fit for someone who is excited about finding creative solutions to community and organization challenges, who thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about providing individuals the opportunities to serve, volunteer, share resources, and invest in their fellow community members; empowering individuals to Unite for measurable change.
This position has the potential to grow into a Management or Director level of responsibility.
Community Engagement and Development Coordinator responsibilities include but not limited to:
Fundraising:
- Coordinate volunteers to make in-roads with new companies
- Coordinate public “campaign drives”
- Follow up with new companies and ensure campaigns run smoothly
- Set and complete meetings with new companies for donations
- Facilitate Grants applications/tracking
- Cold calling as needed
Branding / Marketing
- Monthly Newsletter to general public and affinity groups.
- Coordinate / create marketing pieces
- pamphlets
- event cards
- Social media graphics
- Annual report
- Primary Lead with social media accounts / strategy
- Write press releases / blog posts as needed
- Promote partner agency events
Event Support / Coordination:
- Create / coordinate new smaller events
- Recruit sponsors for all events
- Assist with logistics for events as needed
- Recruit in-kind donations for all events
- Support marketing / ticket sales for events
Community Support:
- Attend community meetings (as needed)
- Community Impact Coalition coordination
- Organize meetings with organizations/churches about collaboration.
- Support on Initiatives
- Support on drives / collections for agencies
- Maintain community events calendar
Volunteer Management:
- Support organizations access to volunteer platform
- Share Volunteer opportunities for Community Partners
- Market and encourage volunteer engagement in platform and with Community. Parnters.
Partner Agency Support:
- Attend partner agency events (as needed)
- Coordinate training opportunities for agencies (as needed)
- Coordinate peer support groups for agencies (as needed)
- Monthly Agency Newsletter
Additional Office Duties:
- CRM / Donor Software utilization and reporting
- Grant Management Software
- Interact with community members, all staff, and Board members in professional manner
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
