You may be asking, “What does a Relationship Manager really do?” Here’s a glimpse of what the position does:
- Participate and manage year-round activities that connect, educate, and engage members of our community for the purpose of improving lives. United Way programs help over 190,000 Berks Countians annually.
- Build and nurture relationships with internal and external constituents.
- Manage a portfolio of diverse account assignments from corporate, new business, and non-profit sectors.
- Manage data, develop plans, and foster new corporate partnerships in support of fundraising goals.
- Coordinate details of varied events/workshops, as assigned.
- Create customized plans that are beneficial to help corporate partners meet CSR goals.
- Utilize software solutions and tools to build on-line campaigns and facilitate increased engagement and storytelling.
- Participate in process-oriented work that facilitates electronic methods of giving, data analysis, campaign monitoring and follow-up as required.
- Participate in department related activities, as well as special events hosted by UWBC and select non-profit partners, as necessary.

- a professional, highly organized and goal driven individual
- one who can provide specific examples of their technical skills and mastered proficiency with donor management/CRM tools
- a bachelor’s degree, or 2 to 5 years’ experience in a related field
- a high level of personal and professional integrity
- excellent listening and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver presentations to groups
- an ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and maintain confidential information
