Summary
The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for the oversight of all United Wheels accounts receivable functions and its related support staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages the collection and cash application functions.  Accountable for management of DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) performance. 
  • Monitor, verify and follow-up (including timely bank documents) Huffy daily Import Sales.  Work closely with China Office to ensure daily Import Orders follow through Huffy JDE (J.D. Edwards) system with minimal issues.  Communicating as needed to ensure CIA money or  
  • L/C's have been requested and received timely to allow on time Import shipments (Customer freight forwarder pick up at Supplier Factory or Port).  Monitor and confirm month-end invoicing to ensure proper recording of Sales.  
  • Manages processing of orders and credit approval policies. 
  • Manages the collection of past due invoices and the deduction process, escalating items to management as needed. 
  • Responsible for the weekly accounts receivable cash projection. 
  • Responsible for monthly reporting relative to reconciliation of accounts receivables, including open deductions, unapplied cash, and credit memo summaries. 
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
No current supervisory responsibilities

Education and/or Experience
Business Administration Degree in Finance or equivalent is required as well as five to seven years of Credit and Collection and/or Accounting experience.  Experience with Credit/Collections, receivables and understanding of the processing of accounts payables. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal required.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. 

Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

Computer Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required.  Experience with JD Edwards preferred.
