Medical Secretary

Job Description: We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Medical Secretary to support our healthcare team. This position requires a candidate who is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and can manage multiple tasks effectively. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations in our medical office while providing excellent support to our providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule Management: Maintain and update the provider's schedule to ensure it is accurate and efficient, coordinating appointments as needed.
• Credentialing Support: Complete facility credentialing for new providers and update required documentation for current providers to maintain coverage.
• Insurance Verification: Assist in verifying insurance information and entering the relevant details into the EMR to ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Reception and Phones: Manage the front desk, including greeting patients, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries appropriately.
• Administrative Support: Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

Requirements:

• Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient in using office software and medical management systems
