Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including nursing homes, outpatient facilities, and memory care units. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, assisting in the delivery of medical services to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Assist in medical imaging procedures and ensure proper patient positioning.
- Provide care for patients requiring neonatal ventilator support and pain management.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in a Level II Trauma Center environment to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
- Participate in the development of individualized care plans for patients, focusing on their specific needs.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and post-treatment care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Previous experience in nursing homes or memory care settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in medication administration and experience administering injections is required.
- Familiarity with outpatient care practices is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
