What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at Unity Search?
Unity Search has partnered with a large, privately held ESOP owned company in its search for an Assistant Controller. Our client has a strong tenured team with an awesome culture! Company is 100% ESOP owned. Highly visible with executive presence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounting and reporting for all investment structures, including joint ventures, consolidated entities, and equity method investments
- Review and ensure proper GAAP application for investment acquisitions, dispositions, and complex transactions
- Lead the preparation and review of investment-related components of the company’s internal and external financial reports
- Support the year-end audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and coordinating with investment partners
- Evaluate internal controls and support internal audit efforts related to the company’s accounting process and systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 8 years related experience with a focus on real estate, private equity or investment accounting
- CPA required
- Strong analytical skills
Compensation:
- 170-200k discretionary bonus (very lucrative!)
Salary : $175,000 - $200,000
